Rushing Yet Not Rushing –

Into Summer as Spring is precious too

Yes, I know it is not summer yet. And I certainly do not want to rush into summer as spring is precious too. I must practice rushing yet not rushing.

Also, I am in a season of working till most likely till the end of July before any such summer activities can happen.

Some of you like some of my family are in a season of vacation, enjoying long hikes and peaceful rivers. Nestled in The Smoky Mountains where I hope to visit soon too.

But June is around the bend – and that means summer. Summer dreams, days, walks, breaths, and yes ocean and lakes and things that are cool and lovely. And mountains too – full of trees, bears, butterflies, deer, and wild turkeys.

From the mountains to the ocean that is where I will be. When it is my time, my season to rest and relax.

So, I present a poem I wrote last summer as I watched with delight a day at the ocean.

Enjoy. Deborah

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
